ABINGTON, PA – Cairn Men's Cross Country made their annual appearance in the Abington Invitational on Saturday, finishing 6
th overall as a group with two personal bests made.
Senior
Avian Hall (Brooklyn, NY / Homeschool) paced the Highlanders in 42
nd place at 32:37.4. Junior
Titus Dingle (Catonsville, MD / Chapelgate Christian) was also in the top-50, clocking in at 33:56.7.
Sophomore
Derek Tewksbury (Portland, CT / Portland) finished next with a time of 34:45.8 followed by the pair of freshman
Elijah Bailey (Philadelphia, PA / Commonwealth Charter) and senior
Jeremy Golden (Lancaster, PA / Clarks Summit University) crossing just under a second apart at 36:11.6 and 36:12.1, respectively. Senior
Dillan Smith (Andover, ME / Telstar Regional) was next at 37:06.1. Sophomore
Aaron Frisch (Claremont, NH / Claremont Christian) and senior
Nathaniel Lofgren (Waterford, PA / General McLane) rounded out the pack for Cairn crossing the finish at 43:43.5 and 50:29.0.
Smith & Lofgren each set personal bests, Smith passing his previous best by more than seven minutes and Lofgren by just under three minutes.
The Highlanders will race next in the Bryn Athyn Invitational on Saturday, September 28.
