Elizabethtown, PA - Highlanders drop match to Elizabethtown.

The Highlanders got off to a slow start against Elizabethtown (8-1 / 0-0 CVC), allowing the Blue Jays to take an early 10-4 lead in set 1. Cairn (0-9 / 0-0 UNITED EAST) rattled off 3 consecutive points including senior middle hitter Caleb Cabrera (Wallington, NJ / Wallington) recording a kill and a block. The Blue Jays regained control and claimed the first set 25-14.

Cabrera and junior outside hitter Sam Poirier (Nogyang, South Korea International Christian School Uijeongbu) each tallied 2 kills in a second set that saw the Highlanders struggle to score. The final score of the second set was 25-9.

The third set once gain saw Elizabethtown grab control early and not let it go, eventually claiming the deciding set 25-15.

Cairn returns to action on Saturday January 31 going on the road for a tri-match hosted by Hood College
